Building a brand for a digitally based plant nursery that supports the environment as well as their community.
NODE* is an online plant shop that caters to experienced plant parents and gardening newbies alike. Named after the area of the stem where leaves begin to grow, this shop is all about propagating sustainable lifestyle choices to their customers and giving back to their local community (Portland, OR). Their business exists exclusively online, where they provide responsibly sourced houseplants in fully compostable packaging.
The Challenge
NODE needed a brand that stood out against their competitors and that was versatile enough to be applied to merchandise, packaging and their digital platforms at various sizes and lockups. The look and feel was to take inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s with warm toned, nature inspired colors and flowy lines. Their competition’s brands were very modern and minimalistic, so they wanted something bright and eye catching that went beyond a logo.
